How about the other way around? I was thinking of writing an expect
script that checks out a config from CVS and updates via BOOTP.

However, from reading the infrastructures.org site the gold server
should be passive, and I'd like to keep it that way. I'm not aware of
a method to make the devices "pull" the info from the server.
