I'm just not getting a warm fuzzy feeling about what's out there. We
need something lightweight with few prereqs, and which shows the marks
of having been designed by and for people who are interested in the
problems of real-world UNIX system administration. (Note that Stem fits
most of these criteria; it doesn't implement group messaging though.)
In Ensemble's case, it's complicated, feature-rich, suffers from a
kitchen-sink approach to protocol inclusion, and to top it all off
I found this gem in the PGP authentication section:
You must set the PGPPASS environment variable to contain your secret
key pass phrase.
It's little statements like that that usually tell me an interviewee
won't get the job.
